2011 IDP Fantasy Football Outlook: Any hopes of Prince Amukamara beating out Terrell Thomas for a starting job went out the window when the rookie broke his foot early in camp. It will take some time for Amukamara to recover, and when he does he should be the No.3 corner for most of this season.
Amukamara will be a starting corner and likely to be an IDP relevant sleeper coming into next year as he will have a season under his belt and a full off-season to work with this coaching staff. Until then look to Thomas as the corner to target off this team on draft day.

June 2011
The projected on going battle between Prince Amukamara and 2010 IDP stud corner Terrell Thomas to see which corner will win a starting job, and if they can keep that job throughout the season. Both corners figure to get a look for IDP leagues, but it is Amukamara that I suggest you target as either a late round pick or a waiver wire pickup, even if he fails to win the job out of camp.
Thomas should stay productive in tackles as a slot man, but it won’t be to the level that he will be a regular IDP play and for where he projects to go in rankings but some, that won’t cut it if he loses his job. I figure Thomas will win the job out of camp, and IDP fantasy owners who aren’t paying attention to his situation, will have paid too high a price for the veteran. Amukamara is at least a future starter and if Thomas should struggle in coverage, the young corner will probably get a promotion during the season, and that would make him a potential starter in IDP leagues.
