Quintin Mikell | St. Louis Rams | DB
2012 Experience: 10th Season
IDP Fantasy Football Outlook: Quintin Mikell has had his ups and downs but over the past few years he’s been a reliable DB2, with the Eagles and Rams. Not much upside to his game at this point, but Mikell will give you a veteran to be counted on, so if you have an upside DB1 like Eric Berry, it’s probably alright to have Mikell as your second option.

Summer of 2011: Fantasy Projections
Coming into the off-season Quintin Mikell was slated to be a free agent and was likely to move on from his time with the Eagles. It didn’t take long for Mikell to find a new home as he signed with the Rams and will be the teams starting strong safety. This is a good fit for Mikell as the Rams defense has similarities to the Eagles scheme.
Now free safety Craig Dahl excelled at the strong-side in the second half of last season, and to have a better talent at the position in Mikell, should translate into better big-play opportunities. Look for Mikell as an early No.2 defensive back for your fantasy squad. I would consider him a late number one, but when you factor in that Mikell is over 30 years old, it’s worth trying to nab him up as your second option or third if he continues to slide on draft day.
