DeAndre Levy

DeAndre Levy | Detroit Lions | Linebacker

2011 IDP Fantasy Football Outlook: It’s hard to know what to make of DeAndre Levy’s IDP fantasy value with the signing of Stephen Tulloch but it’s very unlikely that he’s a worthy option to draft in your IDP league. Levy has enough talent that if he lands a job in the middle he would be a worthy option to start in spots but with Tulloch on the team and Justin Durant likely to start on the weak-side, it will take an injury before we can view Levy as a note-worthy option.

June 2011

If the Lions fail to acquire a linebacker to take over the middle from DeAndre Levy he would make for the top linebacker to own in Detroit. That said, I thought this kid was in-line to find his way over 100 tackles last season and that clearly didn’t happen because of injuries. Levy will need to stay healthy and keep his starting job for that to happen.

Come back to this player page later in the summer for an updated outlook on Levy’s outlook and his projected stats, because I have a feeling the Lions are looking for an addition, even if they are talking Levy up in the press. One thing Levy does have going for him is that he finished the season with a strong run of tackles, and that is encouraging, but we need to wait and see how things shake out over the summer.

2010 IDP Fantasy Football Outlook

DeAndre Levy had his ups and downs as a rookie but at the end of the day he was one of the few young talents this defense had. Now Levy is entrenched as the Lions starting middle linebacker and that makes him a sleeper that should breakout for a very nice IDP fantasy season. Racking up tackles shouldn’t be a problem for any middle linebacker and the Lions will give him lots of opportunities.
