Justin Durant

Justin Durant | Detroit Lions | Linebacker

2011 IDP Fantasy Football Outlook: While Justin Durant has the talent to be a starting option in IDP leagues, his ability to stay on the field is problematic. Durant is likely to play on the weak-side but it seems like the Lions have been shuffling things around now that they have to deal with DeAndre Levy and Stephen Tulloch in a fight for the middle.

If you look to Durant, only take him as a late round option for depth, as he does have a decent situation and when healthy, can be effective. Still, he’s not a reliable option on a regular basis, because it health problems will likely creep up on him again, and he has talented linebackers around him that will eat up tackle opportunities.

2011 June

While Justin Durant has talent he can’t seem to stay on the field and that is why the Jaguars aren’t expected to re-sign him this season. No matter where Durant ends up, he’s not worth looking to for your IDP draft. That doesn’t mean he can’t be a useful option for your squad as the season moves along, but more that you want to add options with better health on draft day.

2010 Preview

The Jaguars are projected to use Justin Durant as the teams weak-side linebacker this year after acquiring Kirk Morrison to play the middle. Look for Durant as a decent option for an outside / weak-side linebacker to start if your IDP league demands you have that position(s). No matter what league your in, Durant stands as a good player to have on your IDP roster.
