Keith Rivers

Keith Rivers | Cincinnati Bengals | Linebacker

Team Defensive Style: 4-3

2011 Experience: 4th Season

IDP Fantasy Football Outlook: So much for Keith Rivers building on his tackle total and maybe becoming an option off the waiver wire as a wrist injury is likely to put him on the PUP list to start the season, and he could miss the first half of the year. Rivers has been a disappointment for the Bengals since he was taken out of USC as a first round pick in 2008, and it looks like he may always be a below average weak-side linebacker.

June 2011

While Keith Rivers played most of the season on a bum foot, it does excuse the lack of production he’s had overall in his first three years in the league. Rivers was a top ten pick out of college and many IDP fantasy owners were expecting him to be at least a top twenty linebacker by this point in his career. Just another reason why it’s hard to put allot of faith in a young player that has proven nothing as Rivers has no IDP relevance at this point and will be on waiver wires to begin the season.

2010 IDP Fantasy Football Outlook

Keith Rivers needed to improve if he was going to be a relevant IDP fantasy option. So far, the returns on Rivers are positive as he posted ten tackles against the Patriots week one. Rivers has the talent to be a viable IDP option but he needs to build on his early success.
