IDP Fantasy Football Outlook: Hamstring problems cut LaMarr Woodley down to only 10 games played but the guy still had 9 freaking sacks on the year! With James Harrison on the decline and teams around the league throwing more, opportunity will be there for Woodley to have a career year in sacks and maybe even tackles.
Can Woodley go over 50 solos in a year? Maybe, but like most outside linebackers, his value is dependent on the big play.

Let’s put this debate between to talented outside linebackers to bed. LaMarr Woodley is a very talented player but he isn’t and won’t be a better option than James Harrison for a few years to come. Woodley has never come close to the tackle numbers Harrison has had, and that is the difference maker between these two sack masters.
While Woodley will be selected in big play leagues, you should avoid him in tackle heavy leagues unless your getting more than 5 points a sack, which would put your league as either big play or somewhere in between that and a tackle league.

2010 IDP Fantasy Football Outlook
It’s starting to become clear that Lamarr Woodley is becoming the main big play man for the Steelers as Harrison gets deeper into his thirties. Woodley is a solid option for Big Play IDP leagues and fantasy owners should expect his numbers to be even better this year.
