IDP Fantasy Football Outlook: Look to Lofa Tatupu’s continued health problems (had work done on both knees after the season ended) as big reason why he’s not a worthy starter to draft and why weak-side linebacker David Hawthorne is being talked up as a breakout option for 2011 IDP leagues. Tatupu has failed to rack up over 100 tackles in a season since 2007 and while he’s only going to be 29 years old, he clearly looks older, in terms of his durability.
With Aaron Curry failing to provide much on the strong-side, Hawthorne is a worthy starter as a No.3 linebacker to begin the season and Tatupu is only respectable depth. He might have a decent first half but as the season progresses, Tatupu will likely breakdown and find his way to IDP waiver wires.
