IDP Fantasy Football Outlook: Early talk around Giants’ camp was the organization was kicking around the idea of having Michael Boley play in the middle. Recent news suggests that’s not going to happen, but we need to keep an eye on this situation through training camp.
New York needs a stable player in the middle but health problems and youth have stood in the way from that begin a reality.
IDP fantasy owners should value Boley as a weakside linebacker even if he does play some in the middle, because that role can be demoted at anytime. With this in mind, Boley is more of a matchup play LB4 prospect.

Summer of 2011: Fantasy Projections
I really thought Michael Boley would breakout last season as the Giants were in flux at the middle linebacker position and Boley seemed ready to step up and accumulate over 100 tackles on the season. That didn’t happen as he failed to reach 90 on the season and his play was at times very up and down. Don’t look to Boley as a draft-able option this year as he has much to prove and should be viewed as a waiver wire pickup, if he starts to show consistency at some point during the season.

2010 IDP Fantasy Football Outlook
Many in IDP circles favor Michael Boley as a solid value pick for this up coming season. When you look back at his numbers in the second half of the season it is easy to see why. Boley should make for a respectable weak-side linebacker for your IDP team this year.
