Mychal Kendricks | Philadelphia Eagles | LB
2013 Experience: 2nd Season
Fantasy Football Outlook: Kendricks will move inside as the Eagles switch to a 3-4 base defense. It will be interesting to see how he handles this switch because I’m not sure he’s ever played in this style of defense coming from playing with the Cal Bears in college.
Kendricks has LB2 upside and possibly LB1 upside down the road but only time will tell if he’s ready to make that impact in his second season. We should consider Kendricks a sleeper for IDP leagues and I will likely take him over DeMeco Ryans, his fellow teammate, because of the young mans upside and I think Ryans is on the downside of his career.
Still, let’s look to Kendricks as a backup with upside on draft day, unless we hear really good things about him coming out of camp that suggests he’s ready for a breakout season. A player to keep an eye on in camp for sure.

2012 IDP Fantasy Projection
Starting his career on the strong side, if DeMeco Ryans is up for bouncing back from his Achilles injury from 2010 better than last year. I expect that to happen and in a friendlier scheme, Ryans will bring the vetran leadership and play this defense sorely needs from the middle.
This will hurt Kendricks value, but if something should happen to Ryans, he is a likely candidate to fill in for him. I like Kendricks as a possible LB2 if he should ever get to the middle but for now, he’s nothing but a depth hold or left on the waiver wire, playing on the strong side.
In rookie dynasty drafts, he’s worth a top five pick at linebacker because of his possible upside in the future.
