2013 Experience: 4th Season

Fantasy Football Outlook: Yeah, this guy is a stud and as a 49ers fan it’s a joy to watch him weekly. Bowman and Patrick Willis are two of the top ten inside linebackers in the game and it’s rare you have two inside backers that can basically not come off the field if the coaches so choose at all times.

In some packages we will see Willis off the field but it seems Bowman plays just about each and every snap. While Bowman’s counterpart is a better big-play option, it is Bowman that is winning the competition in tackles.

I thought Bowman’s tackle total would fall back to around 125 in 2012 mainly because Willis was injured for a few weeks in 2011 and Bowman might lose a few opportunities because if Willis played a full sixteen games.

Think again as Bowman posted over 140 tackles for the second year in a row and close to 100 solo tackles for the second time as well. Only in his 4th season, the 49ers are blessed with another top-notch inside linebacker and I have no doubts these two will play together for a long time.

Both are top ten IDP linebackers but Bowman gets the nod over Willis because he will likely lead the team in tackles.
