Stewart Bradley

Stewart Bradley | Arizona Cardinals | Linebacker

2011 IDP Fantasy Football Outlook: Stewart Bradley scrapped his way through the 2010 season as he returned from a torn ACL that cut his potential breakout 2009 season short. While Bradley will probably always be an injury concern, Cardinals beat writer Ken Somers seems to think that Bradley is a start-worthy option on the inside, as he questions if Lenon will remain the starter.

This makes sense as Bradley is a gifted linebacker and should be viewed as an upgrade in talent over veteran Paris Lenon, and if he does beat out Lenon for the starting job he would have start-worthy ability for IDP leagues. I like Bradley’s chances to be a factor, in sports, for your IDP roster and that basically means he’s a nice late round value pick. You won’t have to draft Bradley until the later part of your draft for depth, but as Paris Lenon and Karlos Dansby have proven in the past, there are points to be had on the inside, in the Cardinals defensive scheme.

Just remember that Bradley is a injury-prone player and likely to miss around four games on the season, so if he develops into a starter on your squad, it’s advisable that you turn to Paris Lenon as a hand cuff. Lenon has proven to be a useful option when starting, so if Bradley is gone you can easily plug Lenon in and use him.

Please Note – Stats below are based on Bradley beating Paris Lenon out for the starting job, that has yet to happen, so keep that in mind.

2011 June

It looks like Stewart Bradley is expected to re-sign with the Eagles but his opportunity as the teams future middle linebacker appears to be done because of constant injuries. Second year linebacker Jamar Chaney is expected to be the new man in the middle as Bradley looks to switch over to the strong side. Bradley does have talent, but it looks like he won’t have IDP value until he can prove he can be productive in his new role.

2010 Preview

Stewart Bradley was inline for a big season in 2009 and IDP fantasy owners were hyped about his future. Sadly, the talented middle linebacker suffered a torn acl last summer and missed the entire season. During OTA’s Bradley did receive concern after limping off the field but it was only a cramp and he look good so far in his recovery. Don’t expect Bradley to be a full strength this year. If Bradley can play a healthy 16 game season, it will go a long way to showing he’s ready to get his career on track again.
