2012 Experience: 5th Season
IDP Fantasy Football Outlook: One of the top tackling interior linemen in football over the past two seasons; Ahtyba Rubin was unaffected by rookies Phil Taylor and Jabaal Sheard. With Taylor suffering a torn pec muscle, he’s likely to be out for the first half of the season, if not longer.
Look for Rubin to remain a worthy DL3 play weekly, and he’s a prime candidate for the top DT1 spot on your draft board, if you play with a tackle position in your league.

Summer of 2011: Fantasy Projections
Ahtyba Rubin made his name last season as a player who wouldn’t give up, even when the Browns were down and out. Not only did Rubin prove he belonged as a starter, but he went on to rack up over 80 tackles on the season, and that is a big deal for those of you that were required to start a defensive tackle in your league.
I picked up Rubin in a couple leagues last season, and he proved to provide me with stability in tackle heavy leagues as he continued to make things happen on a bad team. Don’t look for the Browns to be a respectable team, through the long haul of the season, with a new defensive scheme, and playing from behind, Rubin should continue to be a start worthy option in IDP fantasy football leagues, at the defensive tackle position.
