2011 IDP Fantasy Football Outlook: Brandon Mebane proved to be a useful option for IDP leagues with tackle positions in 2009, but fell off the radar last season. The main problem for Mebane is that his tackle numbers just weren’t what the were the season before and that hurt his value. If find that many middle of the road tackles can have this problem, as they tend to be decent waiver wire options in given seasons, and then fall off.
Mebane is now a free agent and we will have to see where he ends up to determine is fantasy value. I wouldn’t hurt if he went to a team playing more of a Tampa-2 defense but that is probably wishful thinking at this point.

Brandon Mebane took another step last season as he became a decent bet for tackles at the defensive tackle position for IDP fantasy football. Any time a tackle is racking up close to 50 plus in a season and is young we have to take note of their up rising. Now in his fourth season in the league, Mebane should continue to rack up the tackles as offenses will test the Seahawks on the ground.
