IDP Fantasy Football Outlook: Israel Idonije has been a respectable depth linemen for IDP leagues but even that value is threatened with the addition of first-round pick Shea McClellin. Idonije took less money to stay in Chicago and it appears they will go with a rotation for Idonije and McClellin opposite Julius Peppers.
If McClellan should struggle or fall to injury, Idonije will get back into the conversation as a worthy waiver wire pickup. For now, he’s best left off your draft list, unless you’re in deep leagues.

Summer of 2011: Fantasy Projections
Israel Idonije had to fight off fellow Bears defensive lineman to acquire a starting job last season, but he kept it all year and was a worthy waiver wire pickup for IDP leagues. The Bears defense had a bounce back season and Idonije was just one of the players who seemed to be helped by the presence of Julius Peppers on the front line.
Idonije should keep a starting job after his strong regular season transfer into the post season where he helped make an impact as well. Look to Idonije as a fringe lineman to select at IDP drafts this summer. He shouldn’t be viewed as a starter, but if you like to keep a few extra lineman on the depth of your team, he should be worth using in spots.
