Jay Ratliff | Dallas Cowboys | Defensive Lineman
2011 IDP Fantasy Football Outlook: It looks like Jay Ratliff will remain as the Cowboys nose tackle for another season as the Cowboys failed to bring in a true tackle in the draft and it doesn’t sound like they will bring in anyone in free agency. Ratliff may be undersized for his position, but the Cowboys use him to shot 1-gap and get to the backfield for disruption.
I believe Ratliff’s down sack total from 2010 had more to do with Dallas having a bad year as they failed to play with a lead that would set up more opportunities for sack chances. Ratliff is a decent option for big play leagues that force you to start a tackle position. Other than that, I wouldn’t recommend him in other league structures.

2010 IDP Fantasy Football Outlook
Jay Ratliff has to be one of my favorite defensive tackles to watch in the NFL. It’s not every day you see a 303 pound nose tackle play the way Ratliff does and be a first team All Pro. Hopefully Ratliff still has a few more years worth of strong play as he is undersized for a nose tackle and the physical break down will take it’s punishment over time. Still, Ratliff should be one of the best defensive tackles for IDP in 2010.
