2011 IDP Fantasy Football Outlook: Jonathan Babineaux can be a useful option at times for IDP leagues with a tackle requirement but I wouldn’t look to him as an option worth drafting. Look to options that have more upside and if those options don’t pan out in the first month or so it’s helpful to acquire a player like Babineaux off the waiver wire, because you know the type of play he can give you. That said, I would also look at his numbers in the early portion of the season to make sure he doesn’t repeat the tackle numbers he had a year ago.

Jonathan Babineaux had his best season in the NFL and was a solid defensive tackle for IDP fantasy football owners. Unfortunately Babineaux was entrenched in legal issues this offseason which could have gotten him into deep trouble with felony charges. This summer we learn that the courts took it easy on Babineaux for his marijuana charges but he could still face a suspension from the NFL. Whenever Babineaux is on the field he is a good starter for IDP as a defensive tackle.
