IDP Fantasy Football Outlook: Time seems to be running out on Kyle Vanden Bosch as a usable IDP option. With the years adding up on him and Lawrence Jackson breathing down his neck for more playing time, Vanden Bosch should be viewed no higher than a backup, situational starter.

Summer of 2011: Fantasy Projections
Kyle Vanden Bosch started out like gang busters as he looked to be on pace for a top five finish as a defensive lineman in his first year with the Lions. Unfortunately, Vanden Bosch limped through injury for most of the year and that may continue to be a problem for his IDP owners for the rest of his career. Still, the upside for Vanden Bosch in this talented front line is too appealing to not view him as at least a top twenty lineman to grab on draft day.
With Nick Fairley and especially Ndamukong Suh on the front line, Vanden Bosch should have a field day on the outside as opposing offensive blocking schemes will be forced to pay heavy attention to the inside pressure the Lions tackles can generate through the inside gaps. Look to Vanden Bosch as a must start when he’s on the field.

2010 IDP Fantasy Football Outlook
Kyle Vanden Bosch had a down year in his final season with the Titans. Look for KVB to have a better season with the Lions as I believe having a force like Suh in the middle should help the pass rush on the outside. This is what was missing with the Titans last year as Albert Haynesworth left the team in free agency. KVB shouldn’t be your first defensive lineman but he can be a serviceable player for your IDP roster.
