2012 Experience: 10th Season

IDP Fantasy Football Outlook: Terrell Suggs may have a chance to contribute at the end of the season, but don’t hold your breath. Coming off an Achilles injury in May, it’s likely that the Ravens will delay Suggs coming back until at least just before the playoffs, or hold him out all together.

Summer of 2011: Fantasy Projections

Keep an eye on Terrell Suggs position eligibility in the IDP league you’re in. Pro Football Focus did a great job breaking down Suggs percentage of snaps as a linebacker and lineman, and he clearly played more on the line last season. However, websites like ESPN still seem to have Suggs listed solely as a linebacker for IDP purposes, although in a recent write up, they had on his player page suggested he could be eligible for lineman at some point this season.

Clearly, Suggs is a better IDP play as a lineman and while he should already be eligible for that position, like the example above that isn’t exactly the case in the summer. At the end of the day Suggs makes for a solid linebacker play in big play leagues but is a stud in all leagues if he has lineman eligibility. If eligible in your league for DL, look to Suggs as a top five selection.

If he’s only a LB than he’s more of a No.2 option in big play leagues and that really sucks because it limits his strength as a player. Just another reason why you need to pay attention to your rules. I would make sure he is going to get DL eligibility before you go drafting him as a top lineman in your league.

2010 IDP Fantasy Football Outlook

Terrell Suggs has been one of the more reliable IDP defensive lineman over the past seven NFL seasons. You can count on T-Sizzle to make plays in a big time defense and rack up a decent amount of tackles for his position. Hopefully, Suggs can get back to playing a full sixteen games this season as IDP fantasy owners will need him all year.
