IDP Fantasy Football Outlook: You can’t argue with Trent Cole’s track record over the past six years. Cole remains a top five lineman, and with Babin posting 18 sacks last season and the addition of Fletcher Cox, I look for Cole to possibly push for a career year in sacks himself.
This is a do or die year for Andy Reid and his coaching staff so look for Philadelphia to pull out all the stops. While the Jeff Fisher has discussed breaking the sack record in St. Louis, it might just be the Eagles that pull it off this year. Maybe not, but they should be a lock to nail over 50 sacks as a team and Cole will be one of the leaders.
Unlike Babin who can struggle with tackles for stretches at a time, we should expect 40 plus solo tackles from Cole again.

Summer of 2011: Fantasy Projections
Trent Cole is probably my favorite defensive lineman for IDP fantasy leagues as he gets the job done year after year and does it with some flash. The Eagles run an aggressive defense and allow Cole to do first what he does best and that is getting his hands on opposing quarterbacks. While Cole will rack up a high amount of tackles year after year, he may be more dangerous this season, because of the new aggressive outside scheme the team is projected to run this season. Cole should be no lower than the third best lineman to draft this summer once again as he will have another great year and continues to get the job done.

2010 IDP Fantasy Football Outlook
Jared Allen may be the top defensive lineman for IDP but Trent Cole isn’t far behind. The Eagles’ sack master is a very reliable IDP option for your fantasy squad, and he will rack up another solid year in 2010.
