2012 Experience: 10th season

Fantasy Football Outlook: Just when I thought Josh Brown was in the correct situation to tap into his top five fantasy talent at his position, the Rams go and suck again. Hopefully, Jeff Fisher will get this group turned in the right direction, and it’s hard to believe that St. Louis can play any worse in the passing game this year.

Still, Brown is again an un-draftable player this summer, but if the Rams decide to wake up and start playing respectable football again, he will be worth a look off the waiver wire.

Summer of 2011: Fantasy Projections

Finally!!!! The Rams have actually put together an offense that can make Josh Brown a relevant option in fantasy football, once again. I was so excited when Brown finally got out of Seattle and into a dome stadium because he had the leg to be a great kicker for fantasy football. His big leg should continue to help him a top ten to top five option as long as Sam Bradford can keep this offense moving.

The Rams are getting better and Brown’s relevance is directly affective by their play (as is any kicker) and it now looks safe to draft Brown as a regular weekly option in fantasy leagues.

2010 Preview

You may be wondering why we even bother to list the Rams’ kicker for fantasy football? I will tell why, that is because if the darn Rams ever got their %$#@ together Josh Brown would be one of the best fantasy kickers every year. With one of the top legs in football and playing in a dome, Brown has the potential to be a great fantasy kicker. That said, don’t expect much from him this season, unless the team trades for Michael Vick and upgrades on defense.

2010 Fantasy Football Outlook

2009 Fantasy Year In Review: Josh Brown finally got out of rainy Seattle a couple years ago and had a golden opportunity to play in a dome. In Brown’s first year with the Rams, he actually converted 31 field goal attempts and banged six home from 50 plus.

Unfortunately, the Rams took a step back in 2009 as the team looked even worse under its new coaching staff. Because of this, Brown only converted 19 field goals as the Rams were the worst team in football.

2010 NFL Fantasy Football Player Rankings: If the Rams can play respectable football and stay in games until the fourth quarter, Brown should get back to a high twenty field goal conversions. Don’t look for this team to score many touchdowns and that is going to make Brown’s pat total one of the worst in football yet again.

If the Rams were a respectable team Brown would be a clear top five fantasy kicker because he’s that talented. With one of the stronger legs in the NFL, Brown has a few years to be a fantasy relevant player. Still, this season Brown isn’t worth drafting on your team.
