2012 Experience: 6th season
Fantasy Football Outlook: It’s been an up and down career for Nick Folk since his promising rookie year in Dallas, and now in his third year with the Jets, he’s likely to be left on the waiver wire again. Maybe Tim Tebow can bring some life to this offense, but then again, it’s not like the Broncos scored a over 20 points weekly, a year ago.
In 2010, Folk did have 30 field-goal conversions, but to get back to that point he will need the Jets defense to bounce back as one of the elite groups in the league, holding game’s close, and allowing the Jets to settle for field goal rather than being forced to punch the football in. Best left on targeted, unless you play in a league over 20 teams.

Summer of 2011: Fantasy Projections
Nick Folk needed a bounce back season after a bad year with Cowboys cost him his job in the middle of the season. While Folk clearly failed to display the accuracy he had in his first two seasons, his overall production was better with the Jets last season. Now a free agent, we will have to wait and see where Folk will sign before he know his fantasy value. In all likeliness he will probably be left on the waiver wire as his inaccuracy fails to give his Coaches trust that he can be a dependable deep threat, and that is part of what you want in your fantasy kicker.

2010 Preview
Nick Folk had a bright future in the NFL coming into this past season. With a strong leg, Folk looked like he might be a good fantasy kicker for years to come. Unfortunately, the life of a kicker can be gone fast and a second half meltdown cost Folk his job as the Cowboys’ kicker. Now, Folk is trying to repair is career with the New York Jets in camp.
2010 Fantasy Football Outlook
2009 Fantasy Year In Review: In the offseason of 2009 Nick Folk had hip surgery and there were questions on if he would be a full strength come the regular season. For the first half of the season, Folk was a good fantasy kicker has he posted a reliable amount of points most weeks.
Then the second half came, and he fell apart. This meltdown cost him his job as he almost gave a game away against the Saints on a missed chip field goal.

2010 NFL Fantasy Football Player Rankings: This offseason, the Jets decided to part ways with Jay Feely, and they signed Folk. So far, in OTA’s Folk has struggled badly and Coach Rex Ryan has had concern about his kicking game.
I still believe Folk can turn it around, but if he should struggle into the preseason the team may go in another direction.
If Folk can get it together, he makes for a decent fantasy option as he has a good leg and will be on a winning team. Still, I wouldn’t recommend you draft him this summer as it would be better to see how he performs come the regular season.
