Summer of 2011: Fantasy Projections
You can forget about Kyle Orton moving on to another squad as it is clear that Tim Tebow isn’t ready to be the starting quarterback. While common thought is that Orton can’t take a team to a Super Bowl, he clearly is a worthy starter in the NFL, and it was likely to be a disastrous situation in Denver if he was gone.
Look for Brandon Lloyd to remain as a top twenty receiver as Orton will continue to look for his play-maker down the field. View Orton as a respectable backup for your fantasy squad, and because Tebow still has much to work on, you won’t have to worry about the youngster taking over at some point, this year.

June 2011
Kyle Orton was a fantasy darling in the first half of last season as the Broncos turned into a pass crazy bunch with castoff Brandon Lloyd leading the way. While Orton failed to finish strong, clearly he belongs as a starting quarterback in the NFL and will likely begin the season as the Broncos starter, or for another team.
If Orton should remain with the Broncos, he makes for a solid backup quarterback in ten team standard leagues and should be worth the occasional start.
2010 Preview
Kyle Orton is a non factor coming into the 2010 fantasy football season. That said, he should still be a good game manager for his team.
2010 Fantasy Football Outlook
2009 Fantasy Year In Review: Kyle Orton remained a starting quarterback in the NFL with the Denver Broncos last year. With Brandon Marshall, he had a talent he could look to in hard times to keep the chains moving. Even though Orton threw for over 3,800 yards passing and twenty one touchdowns the team missed the playoffs with another bad December.

2010 NFL Fantasy Football Player Rankings: This offseason has been a tough one for Orton as Marshall was traded away to the Dolphins. Even worse the team traded for Brady Quinn and then draft Tim Tebow as a future starting quarterback. With the addition of Tebow, it is obvious that Orton’s time as Denver’s starter is ticking.
Without Marshall on the team, Orton isn’t even worth holding onto as a backup in deep fantasy leagues. Eddie Royal needs to have a serious bounce back season if this team is going to have a respectable veteran pass catcher in the offense. Other options like Jabar Gaffney and Demaryius Thomas have talent, but it’s hard to look at them as respectable fantasy options to start the season.
