Fantasy Football Outlook: Let’s face it, at some point T.J. Yates is going to be the Texans starting quarterback again. It’s not because Matt Schaub is a bad quarterback, but more because he can’t stay healthy.
Houston’s best chance to keep Schaub on the field is to continue to play lights out defense and provide top notch production on the ground. That should happen, but it’s inevitable that Yates will get this chance.
What is working against Schaub, is the Texans failed to keep the offensive line intact, so maybe we will see him take some punishment early on, because of blown assignments.
Yates is a backup in fantasy leagues when he does start because the game scripts will depend heavily on the running game and defense to win.
