Fantasy Football Outlook: First off, Ahhhhh!!!!!!!!
It feels good to get that out of my system before I start to wright about Tim Tebow and the craziness of his never ending saga. Is Tebow going to win over the starting job in New York? Why not, as this story just wouldn’t seem right if Tebow didn’t find himself under-center and somehow matching up against the Broncos in the playoffs this year.
Look for Mark Sanchez to start, but if he should falter, we know Tebow is lurking in the background, and his wild haired plays will likely make him a fan favorite and certainly a headline face in the media.
For fantasy, in deep leagues he’s a great stash because you can get him low and with his running ability, his floor as a starter is likely around 15 fantasy points, weekly. Until he lands a starting job, Tebow is just a depth option at this point.

Summer of 2011: Fantasy Projections
Throughout the lockout, common belief had the Broncos trading Kyle Orton away and moving Tim Tebow into the starters’ role. As camps began it was clear that Tebow was hurt by the lack of work with his new coaching staff during OTA’s and so forth.
After the Orton to Miami deal broke down, the Broncos decided to keep Orton as the starting quarterback as he clearly looked like the better option in practice. Some day Tebow may end up as a respectable quarterback in the NFL, but I’m not sure he will do it with the Broncos.
Expect the Broncos to go with Orton and to draft a quarterback next spring for the future. Coach John Fox wasn’t the one that selected Tebow, and he likely move on from Tebow if the youngster fails to make major strides in his development this fall.

June 2011
Tim Tebow showed flashes in his rookie season of a quarterback that can be a fantasy factor with this six rushing touchdowns and big play ability at the end of the season. That said, if Tebow is going to be a regular start for the Broncos in 2011, he will need the team to trade away Kyle Orton.
That could happen but the Broncos are asking for a first or second round pick, and I don’t believe they will get that back for Orton. Another season on the bench would probably be a good thing for Tebow as it would allow him to work on his pocket passing, and finally start working with this new coaching staff, when the lockout ends.
2010 Preview
Tim Tebow was the talk before and during the draft as he landed to the Broncos in the first round. Don’t expect Tebow to be a fantasy relevant player in year one but he makes for an interesting player in years to come.
2010 Fantasy Football Outlook
College / 2010 NFL Draft: Tim Tebow had a remarkable career with the Florida Gators but it ended without a championship in his final season. The loss of Percy Harvin seemed to hurt their offense as it was noticeable that they were missing his presence overall.
Coming into the draft Tebow’s stock moved from a projected third round pick to a potential late first rounder because of his hard work, skill and dedication to the game. Because of this the Broncos traded up into the first round and selected Tebow to be their future quarterback.

2010 NFL Fantasy Football Player Rankings: You probably won’t see Tebow as the teams starting quarterback this year, unless the team is out of the playoff hunt, and they decide to work their talented youngster. This could happen as the Broncos are in a rebuilding phase on offense, and they would need a tremendous year from their defense and Knowshon Moreno to stay in the playoff hunt.
By next season, I wouldn’t be surprised if Tebow is the teams starting quarterback as the Broncos have invested a decent amount in him, and he has more talent than Brady Quinn and Kyle Orton. No one can question Tebow’s leadership skills, and I believe that will be the attribute that makes Tebow good in the early part of his career over his stat line.
Don’t look for Tebow as a fantasy option right now, but if he should get an opportunity late and have a good showing it will be a good sign for future years.
