Vince Young | QB
2011 Fantasy Football Outlook: As expected the Titans moved on from Vince Young after the lockout ended, and the veteran signed up one a one-year deal with the Eagles. Now a backup for Michael Vick, don’t be surprised if Young finds the field for a game or two this season as Vick is prone to injury, and it may cost him a little time, like last year.
This makes Young an interesting hand cuff in deep leagues, but he should be viewed as an own-able player in leagues with fewer than sixteen teams. Young has a long way to go in terms of his maturity, but it’s in his best interest to be a good solder this season as he needs to up his value for the open market next spring.

2011 June
A one time promising quarterback has gone south as Vince Young continued to show a lack of leadership as the Titans’ quarterback and will be looking for a new team this off-season. I can’t imagine any team looking at Young to be a starter this year, and it will be interesting to see which team decides to go after him.
2010 Preview
2009 Fantasy Year In Review: Last summer I thought Vince Young would win his starting job back at some point in the 2009 season. For all the success Kerry Collins had in 2008, I just didn’t think he could repeat the success he had.
By the Titans seventh game of the season Young did, in fact, get his job back and played like the old quarterback we used to know. In the ten games Young started, he had twelve total touchdowns and led his team back to respectability from their horrible beginning.
Audio: QB Vince Young | 2010 NFL Fantasy Football Player Rankings
2010 NFL Fantasy Football Player Rankings: Young is only worth having in fantasy league that gives points for the yardage a quarterback can gain on the ground. Thankfully, many standard leagues award such points and Young needs that to be worth a roster spot. With Chris Johnson running the football the Titans aren’t going to go pass happy and allow Young to post a bunch of stats.
Young is a better NFL quarterback than he is a fantasy quarterback because of the style of play the Titans run. I do believe Young will be a good fantasy option later in his career like Steve McNair was once Eddie George was washed up. Still, for the next few seasons, look for Young as a decent backup but not a starter for your fantasy football squad.
