Fantasy Football Outlook: The biggest shock to me on draft day was watching the rounds go by and Chris Polk’s name was still on the board. Not even drafted, Polk should be motivated to prove everyone wrong, as it appears a questionable red flag for health was the culprit for his slide.
Polk has been regarded as one of the better pass catching backs to come out of this class, and was at least a top ten on many draftniks boards.
The Eagles did draft Bryce Brown in the later rounds, but look for them to work him onto the practice squad as a development. Dion Lewis and Polk should win the backup jobs in Philadelphia but should Polk be cut, he will be quickly picked up, like LeGarrette Blount a few years ago, after the Titans cut him and the Buccaneers picked him up.
If Polk is in peak condition and ready to fight for a job, he should win out as the No.2 in Philadelphia. Look for that to happen, after his ego was bruised on draft day. Should he win the job, Polk could be an instant RB2 if something should happen to McCoy.
A name to keep an eye on for sure, Polk is an interesting stash in the mid to late rounds of dynasty rookie drafts.
