Fantasy Football Outlook: While Edwin Baker was a good player at Michigan State he needed to fall in the right situation to have any hopes of fantasy potential. Entire the San Diego Chargers, as they selected him in the later rounds, and Baker now has a clear shot at being the backup to Ryan Mathews.
Baker is a better pure talent than veteran Curtis Brinkley and we know Mathews has a problem with staying on the field.
One player Baker will contend with for touches, if he should find the field as a starter is full back Le’Ron McClain. Look to McClain to be the favorite at the goal line, but Baker would clearly have flex play value, if he should work his way into the lineup.
