Fantasy Football Outlook: The situation is ripe in Denver for Ronnie Hillman to make a big impact in his rookie year. Willis McGahee is an aging veteran, and his style of play was better suited for the run heavy offense under Tim Tebow.
Hillman may not be an explosive back, but he can get it done inbetween the tackles and will help Peyton Manning in the passing game.
With only Knowshon Moreno and Lance Ball as legitimate competition, it’s no wonder the Broncos already tabbed Hillman as the second back on the depth chart in May.
Current ADP trends have Hillman as the 49th running back off the board, and I expect his stock to rise during the summer. This will likely be a much talked about name by late August, so if you’re in early redrafts, make sure you lock him up in the later rounds.
As for dynasty rookie drafts, Hillman should be viewed as the fourth best running back on the board, and a first-round selection.
