2011 Experience: 3rd Season
Fantasy Football Outlook: With the additions of rookie running backs Roy Helu and Evan Royster, some believe this could mark the end for Ryan Torain as a starting tailback. Mike Shanahan has like Torain since he brought him in as a rookie back in 2008 with the Broncos and then gave him an opportunity last year with the Redskins.
Torain had some solid days in the Redskins back field last season, but because he’s so injury prone, it would be irresponsible for me to say he’s the top runner to draft on this team. Look to Helu as the favorite to start as Royster is clearly a less talented option. That said, Torain will be a part of this offense, when healthy, so he will probably hit Helu’s value during the season. Unless Torain win the job out of camp, he’s not worth selecting in fantasy drafts.
