2011 Fantasy Football Outlook: The Cowboys decided to add another running back in the draft when they selected DeMarco Murray out of Oklahoma in the middle rounds. Many thought this was clearly the end for Marion Barber as he’s owed five million this year and clearly isn’t the same runner he once was, but recent speculation links Tashard Choice one the roster bubble as well.
In the end, I would have to believe the Cowboys will keep Choice as his contract is cheaper, and he’s been more effective when given an opportunity. The Cowboys continue to bring in projected injury prone running backs around Choice and many feel Murray was more of a late draft pick because of his possible issues down the road.
Assuming Choice does stay with the team, don’t be surprised if Felix Jones and Murray fall to injury throughout the season and Choice ends up as the viable option for fantasy rosters. As for now, with so many runners in camp, Choice is still an option to avoid on draft day.

2009 Fantasy Year In Review: Tashard Choice proved once again last season he can be a productive player when given an opportunity. For each of his two years in the NFL Choice has averaged at least 5.1 yards per carry for the season. With decent hands in the passing game and a good nose for the end zone Choice should be a consistent fantasy factor at some point in his career.
For all the talent Choice has he is still the No.3 running back for the Cowboys with Marion Barber and Felix Jones continuing to play in front of him.

2010 NFL Fantasy Football Player Rankings: There was talk early in the offseason that Choice could be traded to the Chargers for Antonio Cromartie but that was quickly shot down. The Cowboys just didn’t seem to want to part with a talented runner for a suspect corner back that would cost them good money.
As it stands Choice will entire his third season in the NFL as the No.3 running back on his team. Choice could start in the NFL and is certainly talented enough to be a key backup in a RBBC. Because the Cowboys are invested in Barber and Jones it looks like Choice will have to wait another year before he takes on more touches in this offense.
Fantasy owners still need to pay attention to Choice because Jones and Barber have had a hard time staying healthy for the past two seasons. This is why Choice has found the field each of the past two years, and he should see time again at some point.
