Fantasy Football Outlook: The Giants will likely have team NASCAR in full as Osi Umenyiora has been a whiner for years, but it always seems he ends up playing for New York.
Maybe he just can’t stand the new kid in town that is twice as good as he is in Jason Pierre-Paul but whatever the reasons, this will be one of the best front lines for pass rushing purposes in football, again.
Veteran corner Terrell Thomas will be back after tearing his ACL in August, and that is a good thing because former first round pick Prince Amukamara is still dealing with foot problems. This has to be a major let down for the Giants management, as they have a great track record in developing talent, so lets hope the youngster can get healthy.
Even though the Giants are in a high scoring division, they are still a top ten defense to target on draft day.

Summer of 2011: Fantasy Projections
The Giants had another respectable season for fantasy football and they added more talent in the draft by taking cornerback Prince Amukamara in the first round and rotational lineman Marvin Austin in the second round. This team will role once again as they clearly a top five defense for fantasy leagues to select on draft day.

2010 Preview
The Giants struggled after injuries mounted on their talented defensive squad. Coming into this season there are still going to be questions about how healthy different players in the secondary are, and if they can play at a high level. The addition of safety Antrel Rolle helps, but it doesn’t make for a great defense.
2010 Fantasy Football Outlook
2009 Fantasy Year In Review: The Giants defense struggled overall last years as key injuries continued to hurt them as the season went deeper. By the teams final home game this defense was a shell of its former self as the Panthers stomped all over them to close Meadowlands forever.

2010 NFL Fantasy Football Player Rankings: The Giants new defensive coordinator is bringing a positive energy to this group and that has players excited about this coming year. Even defensive end Osi Umenyoria seems up beat as we head into the summer and get ready for camps.
In the draft, the Giants addressed their issues up front with the addition of DE Jason Pierre-Paul and second round defensive tackle Linval Joseph. These additions will give this defense much needed depth to rotate players in and out as that is what they love to do.
The big questions I have for the Giants defense are for one can their secondary stay healthy and play productive? The second is can young Jonathan Goff (opening eye’s in camp) continue his progression as he fills the shoes left by Antonio Peirce at middle linebacker?
If these two concerns are filled with a big yes then I would expect the Giants to make the playoffs and contend with the Cowboys for the division title. If the answer is no, this team may go through points where they struggle to find wins.
For fantasy the Giants are a good role of the dice at the end of your draft and make for a respectable backup team. If their secondary is up to playing solid football this group may go over 50 sacks on the year.
