Coby Fleener | Indianapolis Colts | TE
2013 Experience: 2nd Season

Fantasy Football Outlook: While Fleener was the first of two tight ends selected by the Colts last spring, it was fellow rookie Dwayne Allen that proved to be the fantasy relevant option. Fleener only totaled 26 receptions in his rookie season, but it’s not uncommon for rookie tight ends to struggle.
We should expect a breakout season for Fleener and I’m not sure he will ever develop into the TE1 option I hoped he would be, but he could be of some use to us this season. Fleener will probably be given a second chance by fantasy owners in redraft leagues this summer.
If you take him as your second tight end, that’s fine, but it’s probably best to pass on him unless you take him in the final rounds.

Summer of 2012: Fantasy Projection
Indianapolis turned out to be a perfect landing spot for Coby Fleener as he’s reunited with college teammate Andrew Luck. While Fleener will serve as the teams’ Joker tight end, he should hold better fantasy value than fellow rookie tight end Dwayne Allen.
Allen will serve as the inline tight end, but he’s likely to be a low end TE2 or TE3 this year. The Colts are planning to go with a two tight end formation often and that makes sense as its trendy move in the league, but more importantly, this was how Standford played, with Luck.
Look to Fleener as a top ten tight end on draft day, but you might get him a little cheaper than that, because of the depth at this position.
