2011 Fantasy Football Outlook: With the addition of Greg Olsen from the Bears, Jeremy Shockey figures to be the No.2 tight end on the depth chart. Carolina figures to keep their tight ends active in the offense, as they continue to develop their receivers outside of Steve Smith and they have two young quarterbacks. Still, Shockey is not an option for fantasy leagues, as the Panthers figure to have one of the worst passing games, once again.

2011 June
I feel like poor Jeremy Shockey is on detention this year as he was released but one of the best offenses in football and then went to the pathetic Panthers and their projected kindergarten offense. While Shockey will probably end up as the teams only experience pass catcher (Steve Smith expected to leave after lockout) I can’t recommend him as a fantasy relevant option even in the deepest of leagues.
2010 Preview
Jeremy Shockey has the Super Bowl ring that haunted him since his final months with the New York Giants. Now in his ninth season, the one time fantasy stud is no more than a nice backup tight end.
2010 Fantasy Football Outlook
2009 Fantasy Year In Review: Jeremy Shockey isn’t the player he once was when he was a top five fantasy talent at his position. It seems all the needless extra hits he took early in his career took its toll on a once great talent.
On the season Shockey missed another three games due to injury but when he was on the field he produced better than in 2008. For the season Shockey had 48 receptions for 569 yards and three touchdowns.

2010 NFL Fantasy Football Player Rankings: Shockey isn’t worth anything more than a backup on your fantasy roster at this point in his career. Beyond his physical breakdown, he also suffered an apparent seizure this offseason and had to spend some time in the hospital for that.
Hopefully, he won’t have another seizure as if he did it (speculation) might set him back as it is an obvious concern. At this time Shockey is back on the practice field and all seems well.
Look for Shockey to help his team all yearlong but not get enough work to be an option you’ll want for a consistent weekly producer.
