Anthony Gonzalez
Anthony Gonzalez | WR
2011 Fantasy Football Outlook: At one time Anthony Gonzalez was a promising young receiver in the Colts organization as he was supposed to be the next No.1 pass catcher for Peyton Manning. Everything was in place for Gonzalez to make a big impact in 2009 as Marvin Harrison was gone and Gonzalez was going to start opposite Reggie Wayne.

2010 Preview
Sometimes life deals you a bad hand and in 2009 Anthony Gonzalez received just that. Walking into a promising starting role in his third year, Gonzalez was supposed to be a top 25 fantasy receiver. Instead he messed his knee up in week one and missed the rest of the season. Now he will start spring as the teams No.4 receiver and have to work his way up the list all over again.
2010 Fantasy Football Outlook
2009 Fantasy Year In Review: Anthony Gonzalez looked ready to make a fantasy impact in his third season with the Colts as he was going to a starter. Sadly, Gonzalez went down untouched in week one against the Jaguars with a knee and missed the rest of the season.
Instead of Gonzalez having a productive year it was unproven receivers Pierre Garcon and Austin Collie that were the new kids on the block for fantasy owners.

2010 NFL Fantasy Football Player Rankings: Gonzalez was all set to push for at least the No.3 job this year until he received an injury in June. Early reports had Gonzalez with another setback to his knee and would be out with no timetable for a return. Then we learned that his injury was a hamstring, and he would be a full go by the time training camp started in late July.
I’m happy for Gonzalez that this situation wasn’t another knee problem as he is a good player and that would have been devastating.
Gonzalez’s health will be a key for the fantasy value of the entire passing game this season. If he’s healthy Peyton Manning has one more option to throw the football with and that means the targets will be spread out even more. When you consider they already have Reggie Wayne, Dallas Clark, Garcon and Collie this group is loaded with productive players.
The interesting thing about Gonzalez is that we don’t know where he’s going to end up until probably late August. He could unseat Collie as the No.3 man. This will be one of the more important players to watch this summer as he will affect others around him.
We will have to wait and see on his health and his spot in the rotation of receivers before we know what his fantasy value is this season.
