Fantasy Football Outlook: It’s been an interesting journey thus far into Brandon Marshall’s career. Now in Chicago, Marshall is reunited his old teammate Jay Cutler and the opportunity is there for a return to the top ten receivers in fantasy football.
In his final two seasons with Cutler, Marshall posted over 100 receptions each season and you know he’s going to be one of the top targeted receivers in the game, again.
However there is another side to Marshall that we’ve come to know all too well and it reared it’s ugly head, just before he was traded. Allegations from a woman who claims Marshall punched her at a night club could cost him some time, but it remains to be seen whether anything will happen.
If Marshall fails to miss any time look to target him as a top ten receiver, as the Bears seem primed to put the football in Cutler’s hands, with the game scripts tilting towards the passing game.

Summer of 2011: Fantasy Projections
Brandon Marshall was supposed to make a huge impact for the Dolphins passing game, but instead he struggled on the season with only three touchdowns and wasn’t even worth starting in stretches. Part of the reason for Marshall’s struggles was the ineffective play of Chad Henneto take the next step in his career.I’m not ready to write-off Henne just yet but the Dolphins are expected to bring in a veteran for competition and Henne could find his way into the No.2 job if he fails to improve. As for Marshall, he continues to find himself in trouble with the women as his wife stabbed him in the off-season and there was buzz on if the team would release him.
The key for Marshall to have a bounce back season will start with this health as he was dinged up with multiple injuries last season and even missed two games. I expect this talent to turn it around but fantasy owners need to have some caution when drafting Marshall. Heading into the summer Marshall’s ADP value on Mock Draft Central has him as the 18th average (43.43 overall) receiver taken in standard leagues and surprisingly 18th overall (45.28 overall) in PPR leagues.
Clearly, a more valuable PPR receiver, I’m surprised Marshall is going that low in those leagues as his risk factor is lower with reception points. At this value, I like Marshall in PPR leagues and his standard ranking is about on par for the risk he brings.

2010 Preview
Brandon Marshall has now moved on to the Miami Dolphins via trade. Look for Marshall to continue his Pro Bowl play with his new team.
2010 Fantasy Football Outlook
2009 Fantasy Year In Review: Brandon Marshall’s season looked like it was headed for disaster when the team suspended him in camp. Before camp began Marshall wanted a new contract and had hip surgery.
With Jay Cutler gone to the Bears, Marshall was to be had at a cheep value on draft day as many fantasy owners didn’t want to touch Bronco players.
Instead of having a down season Marshall had another Pro Bowl effort as he even broke the single game catch record against the Colts.

2010 NFL Fantasy Football Player Rankings: The Broncos were determined to get rid of their “problem player” in Marshall. In April, the team traded Marshall to the Dolphins and the stud wide out got his big pay day.
You could make the case that Marshall has a better quarterback in Chad Henne as he has a strong arm and can stretch the field. While Marshall should have a good season we need to see if he can still produce at a 100 catch, double digit touchdown level with his new team.
Our feeling is that if he could do that last year with all the headaches going on, he should be able to accomplish those totals this season.
