Chris Givens | St. Louis Rams | WR
2013 Experience: 2nd Season

Fantasy Football Outlook: While Brian Quick was the first receiver taken in the draft by St. Louis, it was Givens that actually made an impact on the field. The Rams have added more weapons in the offense with the signing of tight end Jared Cook and the addition of Tavon Austin and Stedman Bailey in the draft.
Givens should start opposite Bailey or Quick with Austin serving as a slot receiver. Expect Givens to put up numbers similar to what he had as a rookie but I don’t think his upside will be much better than that, given the amount of talent Sam Bradford has to work with. That makes Givens a better option to look at in standard and especially big-play leagues as he will be one of the better vertical threats in the offense.
Givens shouldn’t be drafted as a starter and is only a matchup play option at this point.

2012 Fantasy Projections
Like fellow rookie Brian Quick, Chris Givens will be given every opportunity to win a starting job. It’s possible the Rams will go with two rookies as starters, but I hope that isn’t the case for Sam Bradford.
While the Rams are hoping Quick will develop into an elite receiver, he’s raw, and Givens should have the upper hand to land a regular role in the offense, to being the season. To be honest I’m not sure what to think of Givens at this time.
We will have to watch his development as preseason goes along to see if he’s drawing rave reviews from his coaches, and flashing on film. At this time Givens is worth a late round stash in redraft leagues (12 teams or more) and a mid to late round pick in rookie dynasty drafts.
