Fantasy Football Outlook: Injuries have been problem for Demaryius Thomas but he finally produced, towards the end of the season, showing us why he was a first round pick.
Thomas’s dominance against one of the top press-corners (Ike Taylor) in the playoffs, has to make fantasy owners salivate at his potential with Peyton Manning in town. Manning has long track record of making his receivers better and as Manning has admitted this offseason, he’s never had a receiver with the size that Thomas has.
Timing on the field will be essential for his fantasy success and while he’s missed work in spring with a hand injury, he should have plenty of time to get work in this summer.
As long as Thomas is well and signs are trending in the right direction out of camp, he’s a WR2 addition that could perform as a WR1, if healthy for a full year.

Summer of 2011: Fantasy Projections
The future seemed so promising for Demaryius Thomas as he was the first receiver selected at the 2010 NFL draft but injuries have set back his career. Thoams missed a good portion of his rookie year with health problems, and then he suffered a torn Achilles tendonin the early portion of February and had to have surgery.Early reports out of Denver had Thomas returning to the team, hopefully, half way through the season but by the start of the summer, they realized that was just optimism and Thomas was likely to miss the entire year. A big loss for sure as Achilles problems like this tend to be an issue throughout a career and Thomas may never find the form we thought he could, and that is a big disappointment to the Broncos and those in dynasty leagues. It’s advisable to release Thomas in dynasty leagues as he’s likely to not be a big factor player in the future.

2010 Preview
Demaryius Thomas has had continued problems with this foot that he broke in February. Don’t expect Thomas to be a starter to begin the regular season as he’s missed continued time in practice.
2010 Fantasy Football Outlook
College / 2010 NFL Draft: Demaryius Thomas had a strong college career with Georgia Tech and was a highly coveted receiver coming into this offseason. Unfortunately, he broke his foot just before the combine and had to recover into the summer.
Thomas was still the Broncos first of two picks on the opening night of the NFL draft. While the second (Tim Tebow) has received much more discussion by the media it will be very important for Thomas to be a good player.

2010 NFL Fantasy Football Player Rankings: Thomas missed about the first month of OTA’s before he was healthy to start contributing on the field. The foot injury looks to be progressing well and Thomas should be ready to partake in full training camp with it opens up.
To begin the season the Broncos are projected to have Jabar Gaffney and Eddie Royal as the starters. Sooner or later Thomas should take over a starting job from one of these receivers as the team moves into the late part of the year. For now Thomas is an irrelevant option to select on draft day but he might have value by the end of the season.
