2011 Fantasy Football Outlook: Hines Ward has been a respectable receiver for fantasy football throughout most of his career but his drop in production last year may be the norm going forward. Already in his 14th season, Ward is still a valuable possession receiver in the Steelers offense but Mike Wallacehas clearly taken over as the teams main presence for fantasy football.Heading into the summer Ward’s ADP value on Mock Draft Central has him listed as the 39th receiver taken in standard redraft leagues, and that is an indication that fantasy owners feel, Ward’s value has clearly fallen. Still a worthy addition to your team, Ward can be had as a later round draft pick and that is about right going forward.

2010 Preview
Hines Ward is by far the best receiver in Steelers history since the days of Swann and Stallworth. I’m sure Ward will be productive until the day he retires so expect him to be a helpful receiver for your team.
2010 Fantasy Football Outlook
2009 Fantasy Year In Review: Hines Ward has had a great career with the Pittsburgh Steelers and is clearly going to be one of those remembered names in the history of this franchise. The former Super Bowl MVP has continued to post decent fantasy seasons, and he did it once again in 2009 with over 1,100 yards receiving and 6 touchdowns.

2010 NFL Fantasy Football Player Rankings: Ward may be 34 years old but don’t let his age fool you as he’s thrived off others doubting him his entire career. When you look back at Ward’s numbers over the years it’s amazing he doesn’t get more credit for what he’s done.
With the departure of Santonio Holmes from the team Ward is the clear top option in this offense once again. Even with Ben Roethlisberger missing at least four games this year Ward is worth having as a starter on your team to begin the season. The other quarterbacks that the Steelers have can get the football to Ward, and they will need him to be productive once again in 2010.
Because of the Steelers situation coming into this season various fantasy owners will pass on all Steelers in the passing game as a situation worth staying away from. While I do believe that is a good idea for most until the late rounds, Ward is one name I still see as productive for many weeks.
