Summer of 2012: Fantasy Projection

While Kendall Wright will be a contributor in the Titans offense, I’m not in love with his prospects for fantasy stardom, early on. Kenny Britt is likely to return from his ACL injury, and Wright will probably spend most of the year as the slot receiver.

That’s not a bad thing in today’s game, but it remains to be seen how often the Titans will use a three or four receiver set, weekly.

We also don’t know if Matt Hasselbeck remains as the starter and when Jake Locker gets his chance to take over.

Wright will make big plays in this offense, and he’s worth holding as a backup to being the year in redraft leagues. Until further notice Wright should be targeted no higher than your WR5 this summer. For dynasty rookie drafts, Wright is a clear first round pick and should develop into a WR2 in the coming years.
