Fantasy Football Outlook: Last year was an interesting one for Roddy White and his fantasy owners. White still caught 100 balls last year but he was one of the top receivers in the league in drops and he only posted eight touchdowns.
While White is still a productive option, I won’t have him in the prime five because I feel Julio Jones will be the better touchdown threat and be one of the top big-play receivers in the game. Part of his success is because of White, but in fantasy football you don’t get extra points because your receiver faces the No.1 one corner on the opposing team or double covered.
Matt Ryan will continue to target White more often than Jones, but fantasy owners will likely become frustrated that key touchdowns and big plays are going to the second-year receiver, rather than a player taken as a top five in his position.

Summer of 2011: Fantasy Projections
With the development of Matt Ryan, top receiver Roddy White took his game to another level in 2010, as he became one of the more valuable receivers to have in standard and PPR fantasy football leagues. While I’m not sure White will reach his reception total again, with Julio Joneson the team as a viable second option, White is clearly an elite option to draft at receiver and I couldn’t blame you for taking him as the top man at his position at your draft. The Falcons will continue to transition this team from a run first offense with Michael Turner to letting Ryan cut it lose and lead the team with the passing game. I still believe this passing offense is a year away from begin one of the top ten in football but White should continue to put up big numbers.

2010 Preview
Roddy White totaled over 1,100 yards and 11 touchdowns in Matt Ryan’s second season. Expect White to have another strong season as Ryan should only continue to mature.
2010 Fantasy Football Outlook
2009 Fantasy Year In Review: Roddy White had another slow start to the season but in week five he got it rolling with 201 yards receiving and two touchdowns against the 49ers. From that point on White didn’t look back as the finished the season with 1,153 yards receiving and eleven touchdowns.
White has now put three consecutive season together of solid fantasy play, and he looks to have a promising career in the future as well.

2010 NFL Fantasy Football Player Rankings: Quarterback Matt Ryan is now heading into this third year as a starter, and it’s time to say he’s a veteran in the league. As Ryan continues to mature, White stands to benefit the most as the Falcons still need him to be the top dog in the passing game.
Look for White to have another strong season as he has a solid quarterback, great ability and a running game that sets him up for big plays down the field.
