Buffalo Bills

Cleveland Browns v Buffalo Bills

2009 Record/Standing: 6-10 | 4th AFC East

Offensive Stats:

Points 16.1 (28th) | Pass 157 (30th) | Run 117 (16th)

Defensive Stats:

Points 20.4 (16th) | Pass 184 (2nd) | Run 156 (30th)

Bill Notes: The Buffalo Bills want to play a 3-4 style defense and return to a smash mouth offense. The problem with that is they don’t have a true nose tackle and their offensive line was dismantled last offseason. To make matters worse the teams right tackle Brad Butler retired and that won’t help their ailing line.

Before The Draft: The Bills need a total overhaul on offense as they are in complete shambles. Still, it would be very wise for them to grab a true nose tackle to go with their new three – four defense. This team had best pick wise to help this team not just in 2010 but in years to come.

First Round

9. Buffalo Bills: RB C.J. Spiller - With Marshawn Lynch all but gone from the team, the Bills needed some offensive talent to score and move the football. Now they have an electric player in Spiller.

Second Round

41. Bills Select: Torell Troup DT - Troup is a strong defensive tackle and that is the kind of player this team needs on the inside with their new three – four defense. Troup should rotate on the inside in his first season.

Rounds Three – Seven

72. Bills: DE Alex Carrington Another move for depth on the defensive line. This team will need to win with defense in 2010. Unfortunatly, the coaching staff failed to address helping one of the worst offensive lines in football with no o-line men in the first three rounds.

Round 4, Pick 9 (107) Marcus Easley WR

Round 5, Pick 9 (140) Ed Wang OT

Round 6, Pick 9 (178) Arthur Moats DE

Round 6, Pick 23 (192) Danny Batten DE

Round 7, Pick 2 (209) Levi Brown QB

Round 7, Pick 9 (216) Kyle Calloway OT

Don’t be surprised if the Buffalo Bills trade running back Marshawn Lynch in the coming month. The one time starter lost his job last year and has failed to work out with the team in March. It looks like a change is needed.
