Minnesota Vikings

NFL Divisional Playoffs - Dallas Cowboys v Minnesota Vikings

2009 Record/Standing: 12-4 | 1st NFC North

Offensive Stats:

Points 29.4 (2nd) | Pass 260 (8th) | Run 120 (13th)

Defensive Stats:

Points 19.5 (10th) | Pass 218 (19th) | Run 87 (2nd)

Viking Notes: With the expected return of Pat Williams, the Vikings will be strong again on defense. Now the question is, “Will Brett Favre retire?” One never knows what Favre will do, but I have a feeling he will come back for one more try at the Super Bowl.

Instead of just giving you current fantasy players from a particular organization, we have also included some of the best players and moments in each teams history. This way you get an idea of not just current events from an organization but where they’ve come from.

Teams with rich history for a curtain side of the football or a curtain position tend to want great players in those areas of their team in the future.

Other organizations are still young or haven’t had much success until this point in time and the best moments in their history are happening right now or in the future. Anyway from Dick Butkus to Barry Sanders we have some of the more memorable moments right here as selected from You Tube.

Before you’re 2010 fantasy football draft begins, it’s always good to see the schedule of particular players you’re prospecting for your future team.

While there is no guaranteeing which teams will be strong and which teams will be weak in a given season, it’s still good to have an idea of the opponents your players will face.

Once the 2010 – 2011 season has started, we will find out which teams are for real and which teams are going to fold up. Who would have thought the Bengals would go undefeated in their division and the Titans would start out losing their first six games in 2009?

Throughout the season, you can always come back to our site and use our schedules for each team and player for your reference. Alternatively, you can also print out or download the schedule as well.

Before The Draft: It will be interesting to see what the Vikings do early in the draft. Last year the shocked many when they selected Percy Harvin and that pick worked out great.

34. Vikings Select: DB Chris Cook – The Vikings needed help in the secondary and now with Cook they have added depth against the pass. This is a solid move from the Vikings Defense.

51. Vikings Select: RB Toby Gerhart - Wow!! This is a very good runner to backup Adrian Peterson. Gerhart may take away goal line touchdowns.

Rounds Three – Seven

Round 4, Pick 2 (100) Everson Griffen DE

Round 5, Pick 30 (161) Chris Degeare OT

Round 5, Pick 36 (167) Nathan Triplett LB

Round 6, Pick 30 (199) Joe Webb QB

Round 7, Pick 7 (214) Mickey Shuler TE

Round 7, Pick 30 (237) Ryan D’Imperio LB

Since the Vikings didn’t make a strong play for Donovan McNabb one would have to conclude that the organization believes Brett Favre is coming back. Assuming Favre returns this team is primed for a Super Bowl run.
