GLENDALE, AZ - NOVEMBER 23: New York Giants fans cheer during the game with the Arizona Cardinals on November 23, 2008 at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The Giants won 37-29. (Photo by Stephen Dunn/Getty Images)

2009 Record/Standing: 8-8 | 3rd NFC East

Offensive Stats:

Points 25.1 (8th) | Pass 251 (11th) | Run 115 (17th)

Defensive Stats:

Points 26.7 (30th) | Pass 214 (15th) | Run 111 (14th)

Giant Notes: If the Giants are going back to the playoffs this season, they need strong defensive play and a consistent running game. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Grants run the football better, but I’m concerned about the defense. If key secondary players come back healthy and perform, it will go a long way to winning the NFC East.
From free agency to the Super Bowl, information is always changing year round for all 32 NFL organizations. From a fantasy football perspective, it’s almost impossible to keep up with all the changes and figure out what those events mean in terms of success or failure for a player or team.

This is why we have our current fantasy football information about each particular team right here in the articles’ section to help you. Feel free to scroll through the various topics and events that we have deemed worth paying attention to from not just a team perspective but fantasy as well.

In the coming months, we will be adding audio to our player and team pages from our new section of the website called fantasy philosophers. This audio information is dedicated to everyone that just wants to hear quick information about their favorite fantasy teams and players.

Since we understand that most people don’t want to sift through articles and full two hour radio shows to find insightful info, specific audio is a quick way to stay updated on current events in the NFL and fantasy football.

Instead of just giving you current fantasy players from a particular organization, we have also included some of the best players and moments in each teams history. This way you get an idea of not just current events from an organization but where they’ve come from.

Teams with rich history for a curtain side of the football or a curtain position tend to want great players in those areas of their team in the future.

Other organizations are still young or haven’t had much success until this point in time and the best moments in their history are happening right now or in the future. Anyway from Dick Butkus to Barry Sanders we have some of the more memorable moments right here as selected from You Tube.

I remember this game above and being a 49er fan, I can barely stand to put this on the site. Congratulations Giants fans, you won and knocked Joe Montana out for the next two years. Still hurts. :(

Before you’re 2010 fantasy football draft begins, it’s always good to see the schedule of particular players you’re prospecting for your future team.

While there is no guaranteeing which teams will be strong and which teams will be weak in a given season, it’s still good to have an idea of the opponents your players will face.

Once the 2010 – 2011 season has started, we will find out which teams are for real and which teams are going to fold up. Who would have thought the Bengals would go undefeated in their division and the Titans would start out losing their first six games in 2009?

Throughout the season, you can always come back to our site and use our schedules for each team and player for your reference. Alternatively, you can also print out or download the schedule as well.

Before The Draft: Talk of adding a running back have surfaced but in the end the Giants need to address the defense. This unit is going through a small rebuilding phase at linebacker, and they need to upgrade.

First Round

15. New York Giants -DE Jason Pierre-Paul: The Giants were looking for McClain at linebacker but the Raiders took him at eight. Paul should be a great addition to this Giants defense.

Rounds Two – Seven

46. Giants Select: Linval Joseph DT- The Giants add another defensive lineman, this is a good move as this defense needs more help.

Round 3, Pick 12 (76) Chad Jones FS

Round 4, Pick 17 (115) Phillip Dillard LB

Round 5, Pick 16 (147) Mitch Petrus OG

Round 6, Pick 15 (184) Adrian Tracy DE

Round 7, Pick 14 (221) Matt Dodge P

While some may talk of the Giants returning to playing solid defense and running the football, it may end up being more of the same from 2009. With questions regarding health in the secondary and leadership problems, the Giants will probably have to throw the football like last season.

If Brandon Jacobs struggles on the ground this year, Eli Manning should be a nice fantasy option once again.

Fantasy Players

* Eli Manning
* Sage Rosenfels
* Brandon Jacobs
* Ahmad Bradshaw
* Steve Smith
* Hakeem Nicks
