Denver Broncos v Oakland Raiders

2009 Record/Standing: 5-11 | 3rd AFC West

Offensive Stats:

Points 12.3 (31st) | Pass 160 (29th) | Run 106 (21st)

Defensive Stats:

Points 23.7 (23rd) | Pass 206 (7th) | Run 155 (29th)

Raider Notes: This has been a good offseason for the Oakland Raiders as they have made good up grades on the defense, and they added a respectable quarterback in Jason Campbell. This team may not make the playoffs in 2010, but they will make lots of noise this season. If the offensive line keeps Campbell healthy, who knows how many games they can win.

Instead of just giving you current fantasy players from a particular organization, we have also included some of the best players and moments in each teams history. This way you get an idea of not just current events from an organization but where they’ve come from.

Teams with rich history for a curtain side of the football or a curtain position tend to want great players in those areas of their team in the future.

Other organizations are still young or haven’t had much success until this point in time and the best moments in their history are happening right now or in the future. Anyway from Dick Butkus to Barry Sanders we have some of the more memorable moments right here as selected from You Tube.

Before you’re 2010 fantasy football draft begins, it’s always good to see the schedule of particular players you’re prospecting for your future team.

While there is no guaranteeing which teams will be strong and which teams will be weak in a given season, it’s still good to have an idea of the opponents your players will face.

Once the 2010 – 2011 season has started, we will find out which teams are for real and which teams are going to fold up. Who would have thought the Bengals would go undefeated in their division and the Titans would start out losing their first six games in 2009?

Throughout the season, you can always come back to our site and use our schedules for each team and player for your reference. Alternatively, you can also print out or download the schedule as well.

Before The Draft: Rumors of the Raiders making a move for Big Ben are all but washing out. This team needs a new young quarterback now that JaMarcus Russell is a clear and total bust. More help on the defensive tackle area would be of great help to stop the run as well.

First Round

8. Oakland Raiders: LB Rolando McClain: The Raiders have been aggressive on adding defense this offseason and McClain is another strong addition from Alabama. This was a minor surprise but then again it’s the Raiders. Look for McClain to be a very good addition to the Raiders.

Second Round

44 Raiders Select: DT Lamarr Houston - The Raiders needed an inside player and they got it with Houston. This defense won’t be a pushover in 2010 and beyond.

Rounds Three – Seven

Round 3, Pick 5 (69) Jared Veldheer OT

Round 4, Pick 8 (106) Bruce Campbell OT – The Raiders did a good job drafting Veldheer and Campbell in the third and fourth round. Campbell is a leader and should be a good player for a fourth rounder.

Round 4, Pick 10 (108) Jacoby Ford WR

Round 5, Pick 7 (138) Walter McFadden DB

Round 6, Pick 21 (190) Travis Goethel LB

Round 7, Pick 8 (215) Jeremy Ware DB

Round 7, Pick 44 (251) Stevie Brown DB

The Oakland Raiders seem to be in a time of change at quarterback as Jamarcus Russell embarrassed his team by coming to camp weighing 290 pounds. Look for Bruce Gradkowski to be the starting quarterback if Russell doesn’t get his act together soon.
