San Francisco 49ers

Pro Bowl - Pregame - February 10, 2007

2009 Record/Standing: 8-8 | 2nd NFC West

Offensive Stats:

Points 20.6 (18th) | Pass 191 (22nd) | Run 100 (25th)

Defensive Stats:

Points 17.6 (4th) | Pass 229 (21st) | Run 97 (6th)

49er Notes: All the 49ers need this offseason is a couple additions, and they should make a run for the NFC West title. With key players gone in Arizona it will be hard for the Cardinals to adjust to the veteran leadership lost. San Francisco won’t be listed as the favorite to win the division come August but by December, they may vary well have the division in hand.
From free agency to the Super Bowl, information is always changing year round for all 32 NFL organizations. From a fantasy football perspective, it’s almost impossible to keep up with all the changes and figure out what those events mean in terms of success or failure for a player or team.

This is why we have our current fantasy football information about each particular team right here in the articles’ section to help you. Feel free to scroll through the various topics and events that we have deemed worth paying attention to from not just a team perspective but fantasy as well.

In the coming months, we will be adding audio to our player and team pages from our new section of the website called fantasy philosophers. This audio information is dedicated to everyone that just wants to hear quick information about their favorite fantasy teams and players.

Instead of just giving you current fantasy players from a particular organization, we have also included some of the best players and moments in each teams history. This way you get an idea of not just current events from an organization but where they’ve come from.

Teams with rich history for a curtain side of the football or a curtain position tend to want great players in those areas of their team in the future.

Other organizations are still young or haven’t had much success until this point in time and the best moments in their history are happening right now or in the future. Anyway from Dick Butkus to Barry Sanders we have some of the more memorable moments right here as selected from You Tube.

Before you’re 2010 fantasy football draft begins, it’s always good to see the schedule of particular players you’re prospecting for your future team.

While there is no guaranteeing which teams will be strong and which teams will be weak in a given season, it’s still good to have an idea of the opponents your players will face.

Once the 2010 – 2011 season has started, we will find out which teams are for real and which teams are going to fold up. Who would have thought the Bengals would go undefeated in their division and the Titans would start out losing their first six games in 2009?

Throughout the season, you can always come back to our site and use our schedules for each team and player for your reference. Alternatively, you can also print out or download the schedule as well.

Before The Draft: The 49ers have two first round picks, and they need more help in the secondary and a right tackle. Hopefully, they will address these needs in their first three picks.

11. San Francisco 49ers: OT Anthony Davis: The 49ers trade up and get a great offensive lineman and acquire a great need player. This is a big move for the 49ers as they upgrade on the line.

17. San Francisco 49ers: OG Mike Iupati – OMG!!!!!!!!!!! Anthony Davis and Iupati on the offensive line. Wow, this is a great move and it completely solidifies the oline. Watchout for Frank Gore as he is inline for a great season. These two players will also give Alex Smith a better pocket to throw the football in. Great moves!

Second Round

49. 49ers Select: S Taylor Mays - Another great pick for the 49ers as they get an ultra talented hard hitting safety in Mays from USC. The 49ers needed to add help in the secondary and they just did it. I’m sure Mays will have a little something extra when he faces his old coach Carroll after he passed on him for Earl Thomas.

Rounds Three – Seven

Round 3, Pick 27 (91) Navorro Bowman LB

Round 6, Pick 4 (173) Anthony Dixon RB

Round 6, Pick 13 (182) Nate Byham TE

Round 6, Pick 37 (206) Kyle Williams WR

Round 7, Pick 17 (224) Phillip Adams DB

The 49ers should challenge for the division title this season as the Cardinals have lost key players. Look for Frank Gore and Vernon Davis to have great seasons as this team is finally ready to win football games.
