2009 Record/Standing: 3-13 | 4th NFC South

Offensive Stats:

Points 15.2 (30th) | Pass 186 (24th) | Run 102 (23rd)

Defensive Stats:

Buccaneer Notes: The Buccaneers had a good draft as they picked up tow defensive tackles and a top wide receiver for quarterback Josh Freeman. Tampa should finish last in the NFC South this season but they should be a better team this year.
From free agency to the Super Bowl, information is always changing year round for all 32 NFL organizations. From a fantasy football perspective, it’s almost impossible to keep up with all the changes and figure out what those events mean in terms of success or failure for a player or team.

This is why we have our current fantasy football information about each particular team right here in the articles’ section to help you. Feel free to scroll through the various topics and events that we have deemed worth paying attention to from not just a team perspective but fantasy as well.

In the coming months, we will be adding audio to our player and team pages from our new section of the website called fantasy philosophers. This audio information is dedicated to everyone that just wants to hear quick information about their favorite fantasy teams and players.

Since we understand that most people don’t want to sift through articles and full two hour radio shows to find insightful info, specific audio is a quick way to stay updated on current events in the NFL and fantasy football.

Instead of just giving you current fantasy players from a particular organization, we have also included some of the best players and moments in each teams history. This way you get an idea of not just current events from an organization but where they’ve come from.

Teams with rich history for a curtain side of the football or a curtain position tend to want great players in those areas of their team in the future.

Other organizations are still young or haven’t had much success until this point in time and the best moments in their history are happening right now or in the future. Anyway from Dick Butkus to Barry Sanders we have some of the more memorable moments right here as selected from You Tube.

Before you’re 2010 fantasy football draft begins, it’s always good to see the schedule of particular players you’re prospecting for your future team.

While there is no guaranteeing which teams will be strong and which teams will be weak in a given season, it’s still good to have an idea of the opponents your players will face.

Once the 2010 – 2011 season has started, we will find out which teams are for real and which teams are going to fold up. Who would have thought the Bengals would go undefeated in their division and the Titans would start out losing their first six games in 2009?

Throughout the season, you can always come back to our site and use our schedules for each team and player for your reference. Alternatively, you can also print out or download the schedule as well.

Before The Draft: This team needs a wide receiver or two to help young quarterback Josh Freeman. Beyond that defense is the side of the football they will be drafting for.

3. Buccaneers Select: DT Gerald McCoy – The Buccaneers needed to upgrade on defense and they have a good start at the draft with defensive tackle Gerald McCoy. While McCoy will help they still have a lot of work to do on defense to rebuild on defense.

Second Round

35. Buccaneers Select: DT Brian Price - Wow!! The Buccaneers have now added McCoy and Price to the front line for the Buccaneers defense. This will help as the team greatly struggled against the rush. These two men set line hopefully for awhile. Now they desperately need a receiver.

39. (Trade) Buccaneers Select: WR Arrelious Benn - The Buccaneers have now added their wide receiver to help Josh Freeman in a trade with the Raiders. Benn didn’t have a good college season last year but he was on a very bad team. This is a good player for Freeman. Now, they could use another weapon for Freeman.

Rounds Three – Seven

Round 3, Pick 3 (67) Myron Lewis CB

Round 4, Pick 3 (101) Mike Williams WR

Round 6, Pick 3 (172) Brent Bowden P

Round 7, Pick 3 (210) Cody Grimm LB

Round 7, Pick 10 (217) Dekoda Watson LB

Round 7, Pick 46 (253) Erik Lorig DE

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are in a rebuilding phase as an organization. Other than tight end Kellen Winslow and Cadillac Williams it’s hard to see anyone from this group as a fantasy relevant option for the 2010 – 2011 fantasy football season.

Keep an eye on talents like Josh Freeman as potential sleepers at some point this upcoming season.

Fantasy Players
