Tennessee Titans

Houston Texans v Tennessee Titans

2009 Record/Standing: 8-8 | 4th AFC South

Offensive Stats:

Points 22.1 (16th) | Pass 189 (23rd) | Run 162 (2nd)

Defensive Stats:

Points 25.1 (28th) | Pass 258 (31st) | Run 107 (11th)

Titan Notes: Continued veteran leadership leaving the defensive side of the football has me concerned about the Titans’ chances in 2010. Last year Albert Haynesworth left the team and now Klye Vanden Bosch is already gone. Now, long time leader and star linebacker Keith Bulluck may leave in free agency.
From free agency to the Super Bowl, information is always changing year round for all 32 NFL organizations. From a fantasy football perspective, it’s almost impossible to keep up with all the changes and figure out what those events mean in terms of success or failure for a player or team.

This is why we have our current fantasy football information about each particular team right here in the articles’ section to help you. Feel free to scroll through the various topics and events that we have deemed worth paying attention to from not just a team perspective but fantasy as well.

In the coming months, we will be adding audio to our player and team pages from our new section of the website called fantasy philosophers. This audio information is dedicated to everyone that just wants to hear quick information about their favorite fantasy teams and players.

Since we understand that most people don’t want to sift through articles and full two hour radio shows to find insightful info, specific audio is a quick way to stay updated on current events in the NFL and fantasy football.

Instead of just giving you current fantasy players from a particular organization, we have also included some of the best players and moments in each teams history. This way you get an idea of not just current events from an organization but where they’ve come from.

Teams with rich history for a curtain side of the football or a curtain position tend to want great players in those areas of their team in the future.

Other organizations are still young or haven’t had much success until this point in time and the best moments in their history are happening right now or in the future. Anyway from Dick Butkus to Barry Sanders we have some of the more memorable moments right here as selected from You Tube.

We have included former Oilers’ players Earl Campbell and Warren Moon to the Titans’ video selection. Even though both players never came to Tennessee, both are too good to be forgotten in the history of this franchise.

Before you’re 2010 fantasy football draft begins, it’s always good to see the schedule of particular players you’re prospecting for your future team.

While there is no guaranteeing which teams will be strong and which teams will be weak in a given season, it’s still good to have an idea of the opponents your players will face.

Once the 2010 – 2011 season has started, we will find out which teams are for real and which teams are going to fold up. Who would have thought the Bengals would go undefeated in their division and the Titans would start out losing their first six games in 2009?

Throughout the season, you can always come back to our site and use our schedules for each team and player for your reference. Alternatively, you can also print out or download the schedule as well.

Before The Draft: Look for the Titans to add defense as they have lost some key players over the past few years. If they can acquire Albert Haynesworth from the Redskins, he would be a tremendous help to this team once again.

16. Tennessee Titans: DE Derrick Morgan: The Titans needed more defensive help and after losing KVB to free agency, this is a good get back. Hopefully he can get to the quarterback.

Rounds Three – Seven

Round 3, 77. Titans: WR Damion Williams -Don’t understand this pick. They must be moving Gage after this season.

Round 3, Pick 33 (97) Rennie Curran LB

Round 4, Pick 6 (104) Alterraun Verner CB

Round 5, Pick 17 (148) Robert Johnson DB

Round 6, Pick 7 (176) Rusty Smith QB

Round 6, Pick 38 (207) Myron Rolle SS

Round 7, Pick 15 (222) Marc Mariani WR

Round 7, Pick 34 (241) David Howard DT

Undrafted Free Agent

RB Stafon Johnson - With Lendale White gone Johnson should make the team as a power back

If this team is going back to the playoffs in 2010, Vince Young needs to have a strong season. For that to happen receivers like Kenny Britt needs to step his game up.
